Nick Knight

Information towards my fashion as a form design aesthetics essay as a class we attended the Nick Knight exhibition called Showstudio fashion revolution at Somerset house in London. The exhibition involves process, performance, participation, and fashion film. This exhibition was very interactive a lot of media was used, touch screens, projections, animations and sound effects and the main attraction was the a live photo shoot done by Nick Knight himself.

A centrepiece of the Fashion Revolution exhibition is this monolithic sculpture of supermodel Naomi Campbell, created from a 3-D rendered image captured during Nick Knight's Spring 2007 Naomi shoot.

This is a experimention of 3-D images of models head covered in cellophane and sweet wrappers. Created by Jane How and Nick knight.

This is one of the touch screen projects, to run your finger along the screen and a image of a model appears.

The aim of The Sound of Clothes was to reimagine the possibilities of experiencing clothes by utilising the full range of senses, and specifically to explore and expand on the important relationship that music has always had with fashion.

styling project

For my Styling Project I chose to style my housemate Lisa, Her style is mature looking and she needed a funky youthful look.

Before look.

Lisa's has a small, straight down frame, she told me that she wanted to look more curvy so i chose this dress which Hugh's her in at the waist but puffs out on her hips which give the look that she has curves.

Again this dress forms curves, but the pattern brings out a more playful side to lisa.

This t-shirt was baggy so it made her look bigger which lisa liked, and it was off the shoulder, but it was very expensive so lisa would not of brought a t-shirt like this.

Gong more her price range I selected a few garment from Miss Selfridge. These outfits and very funky and outgoing.
